Office Manager

What will you do
In this role, you ensure a smooth-running, safe, and welcoming office environment where employees can work efficiently. You act as the first point of contact for anything related to the office and make sure facilities, suppliers, and processes are well-coordinated. You also support onboarding, events, and operational administration to provide both new and existing employees with a seamless and positive experience.
Key responsibilities
1. Office & Facilities Management
- Ensure the office is clean, welcoming, and well-presented
- Manage relationships with suppliers (cleaning, catering, maintenance, etc.)
- Oversee inventory of office supplies, kitchen, meeting rooms, etc.
- Coordinate scheduled maintenance, repairs, safety checks
- Manage keys, access badges, security protocols, and building safety
- Capture and register company properties
2. Events, Onboarding & Internal Logistics
- Facilitate onboarding & offboarding (welcome kits, workstation setup, exit logistics)
- Support coordination of internal events, company meetings in alignment with the People Operations Specialist
- Help with travel & accommodation bookings for employees
- Support internal communications about events, office changes, or updates
3. Administrative & Operational Support
- Process and track invoices and expenses related to office operations
- Maintain office policies, procedures, and documentation (Notion, Confluence, or equivalent)
- Serve as first point of contact for general office-related questions and support needs
What We’re Looking For
- You have 2+ years’ experience in office operations, facility management, or a similar role
- You are hands-on, detail-oriented, and enjoy solving practical/logistical challenges
- You’re comfortable in a dynamic, growing environment
- You communicate clearly and effectively — both Dutch and English are required
- You are proactive — you don’t wait to be told; you see what needs doing and jump in
- You thrive in a team setting and have strong interpersonal skills
- You are familiar with managing budgets and keeping financial oversight
This role is part of the People Team, which consists of a Recruiter, a People Operations Specialist and the Head of People & Culture, which this role reports into. We are looking for someone who is willing to work at least 32 hours per week, and loves to be present at the office in Capelle a/d IJssel.
